Cheshire Homes Society of British Columbia is a not-for profit society that provides a variety of programs to assist survivors of a brain injury to achieve their maximum level of independence.
On June 15, 2013, it hosted a 5 km and 1 km, wheel, walk, run event for Brain Injury Awareness Month. In addition to increasing awareness, the event raised money for the Society to assist with its various programs. The event was held this year at Stanley Park, starting and finishing at Lumberman’s Arch. Simpson Thomas & Associates is a proud sponsor of the event. In attendance on behalf of the firm were Mel Chaudhary, Troy McLelan and Stephen Yung. The trio manned the Simpson Thomas booth and mingled with the attendees of the event. Troy also took part in the 5 km run. The weather was great, the scenery was picturesque and the experiences shared by brain injury survivors were moving.
