Stephen Yung has over 10 years of experience and has handled over one thousand ICBC personal injury claims. He represents injured motorists, passengers, motorcyclists, cyclists and pedestrians that consistently end with superior results. He has considerable experience dealing with a vast range of injuries, including spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, chronic pain, psychological injuries, and family compensation claims. He will not hesitate to proceed to trial when offers are unreasonable. He has extensive trial experience at all levels of court in British Columbia including the Court of Appeal.

Before joining Simpson Thomas and Associates in 2006, as an ICBC claims lawyer, Stephen had a general civil litigation practice with an emphasis on personal injury claims. He acted for individuals and small businesses in personal injury, employment law, commercial disputes, income tax issues, and family law. His cases were often complex that overlapped different areas of the law.


Stephen earned his law degree in 2001 at Dalhousie University. At Dalhousie University he was an elected executive of the Domus Legis Society. He is a member of both the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia and the Canadian Bar Association.


Steve is married to Heather who works as a mental health clinician. They have two young children. In his spare time he plays ice hockey, loves to bike, and spend time with his family.
