Liu v. Bourget and Cheng v. Bourget: Successful Personal Injury Claims

In Liu v. Bourget and Cheng v. Bourget (February 25, 2014 – Supreme Court Docket M105282), the married plaintiffs were injured when their vehicle was hit by the Defendant, who was impaired. Simpson Thomas and Associates took the case to trial. ICBC agued that the plaintiffs were not that badly injured, and that the accident had not had a significant impact on them. It was successfully shown that the impact on the plaintiffs was in fact significant, resulting in a combined award of $264,000 for both plaintiffs.
